Charlene Flint

of Calera, passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2008, at the age of 74. Charlene was very sociable and enjoyed her family, neighbors, friends, and co-workers. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard Thomas "Cork" Flint. She will be missed by all. She is survived by a son, Wayne Thomas Flint (Deborah); two grandsons, Kyle Thomas and Alex Williams Flint; a sister, Laverne Christoph (Thomas); and a cousin, Pat Caldwell. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 5, 2008, from 5:30-7:30 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover. Funeral service, with a luncheon to follow, will be held Wednesday, August 6, 2008, at 11:45 AM at Christ the King Lutheran Church, with Rev. Dr. Chris DeGreen officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Park Cemetery in Chicago, IL. In memory of her love for young adults, the family requests, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to Youth Ministry at Christ the King Lutheran Church.
