Charlayne Blaylock

Charlayne Crabtree Pickett Blaylock was born on November 27, 1926 in Chattanooga, TN to Charles Crabtree and Jewell Stillwell.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Robert E. (Bob) Pickett and Wesley H. (Wes) Blaylock; stepfather, Clarence Eggleston; and grandparents, Alice Catlett Stillwell and William Stillwell.

She is survived by her daughter, Jan Pickett (Brian) Roy of Ventress, LA; son, Hunter L. Pickett of Helena, AL; grandchildren, Robert E. (Robbie), Haley Jane, and Carl E. Pickett of Hoover, AL.

Charlayne was a charter member of Scenic Hills UMC Church, former SH Women’s Association member (first organist), and former member of St. Luke’s UMC of Memphis, TN. She was employed by SSA Atlanta, GA, Mallory A.F. Depot, Memphis Medical Specialists, and Humko Products of Memphis, TN. She was a member of Helena UMC, the Virginia Tucker Sunday School Class of Helena UMC; and a volunteer at Shelby Baptist Hospital.

The graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 1:00pm EST at Greenwood Cemetery in Chattanooga, TN.
