Celyce Thompson

Celyce Olivia Thompson age 24 of Hoover passed away Friday, April 4, 2014. She attended Shades Mountain Christian School, Hoover High School, and graduated from Valleydale Academy. She was attending, and soon would graduate from ITT Tech with a degree in electrical engineering. Celyce was a member of ETA International. She attended Shades Mountain Independent Church. She was active in the U.S. Army Reserve. Specialist Thompson (promotable) was assigned to 465th Engineer Company, 926th Battalion. She completed basic training, May 2009 and completed training as an Army engineer.
She is survived by her two children, Jack Oliver McCain and Analyce Olivia Thompson; parents, Mike and Elyce Thompson; brothers, Benjamin and Willie Thompson; grandmothers, Alyce Bailey and Margaret Thompson; aunts and uncles, Frank and Amanda Spigner, Eric and Melissa Leisy, Kim and David Clepper; and cousins, Aaron and Andrew Spigner, Katie and Charlie Leisy, and Thompson Clepper.
The family will receive friends Monday, April 7, 2014 from 11:00 am until service time at 1:00 pm at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Pastor Harry Walls officiating.
