Catherine Moore

of Hoover, passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2007 at the age of 74. She was a member of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Pellar Elijah Stone; a brother, Pellar Elijah Stone, Jr.; and a sister, Verna Vivian Grey. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, John Sparrow Moore of Hoover; a son, John Robert Moore (Melissa) of Hoover; a grandson, Scott Robert Moore, Hoover; her mother, Ulma Catherine Hillman; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 3, 2007 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy. 150, Hoover. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
