Catherine Lee

Catherine Lorrell Lee, age 74, of Birmingham, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2011. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. A precious and brave Southern lady, she touched everyone with her gracious nature. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa at Florida State University and taught elementery and middle school students for 23 years. She was a devoted member of Lakeside Baptist Church. Memories will be shared and cherished by her husband of 55 years Elkin Jerome "Jerry" Lee, her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Rex Sherer, her son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Sinclair Lee, her daughter Lolly Lee and her grandchildren, Courtney Lanter, John Sherer, Cole Lanter and Catherine Sherer. She will also be greatly missed by her brothers and their families; Chester and Virginia McCray, Jason and Betty McCray, Jerry and Gail McCray and Terry and Linda McCray. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 from 11 am until 12 noon at the Lakeside Baptist Church with the funeral service to follow at noon. Interment will be in the High Bluff Cemetery in Hoboken GA at 12 noon on Friday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lakeside Baptist Church or the Ovarian Cancer Research at UAB.
