Catherine Brown

of Panama City Beach, formerly of Bessemer, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2007, at the age of 85. Mrs. Brown was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Oscar Lee Brown; two sons, Oscar Leon Brown and Jerry Wayne Brown; daughter-in-law, Denise Brown; and grandson, Randy Allen Dodd. We thank God for sharing her with us for all these years. She will be dearly missed. Our loss is Heaven's gain. She is survived by four children, Dorothy "Dottie" Norris, of Panama City Beach, Jerry Lee Brown, of Louisiana, Wilma Childress and husband Ed and William Brown, both of Bessemer, Alabama; 13 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 21, 2007, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hoover, AL. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 22, 2007, at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home directing.
