Catalina Runez

Our beloved mother passed on December 23, 2014 at 100 years old. Originally from Batangas City, Philippines, she moved to the United States in 1976. She was the loving mother to six children and twenty grandchildren. She attended The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Preceded in death by her husband, Amado Runez, and two children, Amador Runez and Samuel Runez. She enjoyed singing, travelling, and showing her love and kindness for others through her cooking. Her beautiful smile and heart will be missed by so many.

Catalina is survived by four children, Ruben Runez, Virgilio Runez, Ramon Runez, Evangeline R. Penix and sister Sofia Vega Dimaculangan, grandchildren, Anna G. Runez, Dorothy G. Runez, Cheryl G. Runez, Kimberly A. Penix, Paul Runez, Peter Runez, Patrick Runez, Lydia R. Junsay, Ronald Runez, Alexander Runez, Adrian Runez, Antonio Runez, Angelo Runez, Ramil Runez, Lemuel Runez, Esterlina R. Dayante, Joel Runez, Emelina R. Santos, Manuel Runez , Celina Runez, daughters-in-laws, Carmelita P. Runez, Lina Flor R. Runez, Adoracion G. Runez, Joy H. Runez and son-in-law, William R. Penix .
The family will receive friends Saturday, December 27, 2014, from 11-1 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 1 PM in the chapel with Reverend Jim Profetto officiating.
