Her adventurous spirit led her to plan meaningful trips and experiences, creating cherished memories for her family.
A passionate reader, she ensured her family had access to a wide variety of books and magazines, often reading to us during our childhood to inspire a lifelong love of reading.
Known for her humor, warmth, and elegance, Carolyn was a quintessential Southern woman who carried herself with grace and charm. She was quick-witted and clever, and enjoyed participating in friendly banter with other anyone she met. She was an exceptional cook, famous for her pound cake, which many claimed was the best they had ever tasted. Her home was a welcoming haven, often referred to as “the house where all the kids came.”
Carolyn loved people, especially children, and her vibrant personality drew others to her. She was a wise counselor, a generous friend, and a source of laughter and joy. Her radiant smile and kind heart left an indelible mark on everyone she met.
