Carolyn Davidson

Mrs. Carolyn Cornelius Davidson, of Indian Springs passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at her residence at the age of 75. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 25, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the chapel at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home in Hoover. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 10 a.m. until service time. Mrs. Davidson was preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Davidson. She is survived by two daughters, Alicia Atchley and husband Dr. David Atchley of Fort Payne, and Laura Meadows and husband, Gip Meadows of Montgomery; and one brother, Robert B. Cornelius and wife, Joy Cornelius and nine grandchildren; John Atchley, Mary Atchley, Matthew Atchley, Benjamin Atchley, Hannah Atchley, Austin Meadows, Hayden Meadows, Taylor Meadows, and Steadman Meadows. Mrs. Davidson was a long time member of Lakeside Baptist Church, a retired first grade teacher with 30 years at Powderly Elementary School. Mrs. Davidson received her bachelor's and master's degree from Montevallo and AA degree from The University of Alabama at Birmingham.
