Caroline Tamburello

Caroline Gugliotta Tamburello, age 87, of McCalla, Alabama passed away on June 12, 2024.

Caroline was referred to as Maw to family and friends. She was born in Ensley, Alabama on December 29, 1936. Maw was employed as a Bank Branch Manager until she retired. She possessed a wonderful, kind, and loving personality. Once you met her, you became her friend. Once you became her friend, it was easy to love her. And she was loved by so many. Maw loved her family with all her heart. Caroline and Sam were married for 68 years and that itself says a lot about their love for each other. Besides her family, she also cherished her trips to the casinos, her time out shopping, and her favorite restaurants. She also cooked pasta every week for our Sunday get-togethers and those gatherings were special to all of us.

Maw is survived by her husband, Sam Tamburello, her son Anthony Tamburello (Brandy) and Anthony's daughters, Brooklin, Toni Patton (Brent) Toni's children Gabriel, Bella, Aiden, Anthony's son Nick Tamburello and Nick's sons Vinnie and Sammie, and her grandsons by her daughter, Karen Pollet (deceased)(Greg), and their son's Joey (Paige, Tripp, Tate), Tony, and CJ.

The visitation and the funeral mass will be held at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Bessemer, Alabama on Tuesday, June 18, 2024. Visitation is at 10:00 am for the family, 11:00 am for the public, followed by a Mass at Noon. Graveside service is following the Mass at Currie-Jefferson Memorial Gardens on John Hawkins Pkwy, Hoover, Al.
