Carmen June Smith

Carmen June Frost Smith, age 94 of Birmingham, Alabama passed away April 27, 2020. She was the daughter of the late Albert Edward Frost and Carmen Florence Hinkle Frost, all of Chicago, Illinois.

A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Morris Smith, son David Morris Smith, grandchildren David Eric Smith, Amy Leigh Smith and brother, Albert Edward Frost, Jr.

She is survived by son Kirk James Smith (Lynn), grandchildren Benjamin Kirk Smith (Jennifer), Bradley Greer Smith (Natalie), Jenna Kathryn Posny (Drake) and seven great grandchildren.

Ms. Smith was a long time member of Hunter Street Baptist Church. A special thanks to the care team from Oasis Hospice who cared for her and comforted our family throughout a long illness. Truly they are angels on earth.

Ms. Smith will be commemorated with a family graveside service, Currie Jefferson directing.
