of Chelsea, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2008, at the age of 83. He was a U.S. Veteran of WWII and was a retired engineer from the Cotton Industry. He also worked at the Pro Shop at Deer Valley Links Golf Course, Hwy 11, Chelsea, where he was known and loved. He was a member of the VFW Post and Moose Lodge in Prattville and the Eagles Club in Bay City, TX. He liked pretty women, bourbon, dancing, gardening, fishing and barbecuing. Mr. Manofsky was a loving father and grandfather. He is survived by a son, Daniel Manofsky (Mandee) of Chelsea; two grandchildren, Christopher Manofsky of Hoover and Mitchell Manofsky of New York; three sisters, Judith Sassin of Wharton, TX, Hattie Manofsky of Fredericksburg, TX and Dorothy Marr of Fredericksburg, TX; a dear friend and caregiver, Barbara Manofsky Cain of Chelsea; and his pet Miss Chloe. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 18, 2008, from 1-2 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover. A memorial service will follow at 2 PM in the funeral home chapel.
