Bridgett Barnes

Bridgett G. Barnes, of Hoover, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2016, at age 56. Bridgett grew up in West Blocton. She worked in the dental field in the Birmingham area for 36 years. She truly enjoyed giving people better smiles. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ballard and Dean Gilbert; and her sister, Gloria Cobern (Pete).

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Lee Barnes; her two sons, Gil and Kyle Barnes; brother, Jimmy Gilbert; and a number of nieces, nephews and aunts.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 2, 2016, at 1 PM in the Chapel at Church of the Highlands - Grants Mill Campus. A reception will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer research.
