Brian was born on February 5, 1984 and passed away on February 17, 2024. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gene and Hazel Miller of Uniontown, Pennsylvania and Randall and Annie Lee Black of Smoaks, South Carolina.
He is survived by his parents, Bob and Ruth Miller, his sisters, Lisa Miller and Laurie Dewey (Mike) (nephews and niece - Jackson, Morgan and Mason Dewey) and his daughter, Lily Miller, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Brian was born in Pasadena, California and his family moved to the Birmingham area in 1989.
Brian was a veteran, having served in the Coast Guard in Key West, Florida and Venice, Louisiana. While in the Coast Guard he was trained in navigation skills, mechanics and other military skills. These skills helped when working in construction and other related fields. He also worked at Vestavia Animal Clinic and had a real love of animals.
The love of his life was his precious 8-year old daughter, Lily. Some of his hobbies included fishing, hunting, drawing, painting, and water sports - activities he loved to share with Lily.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Saint Mark United Methodist Church on Friday, February 23rd at 1 pm, followed by a reception. Saint Mark UMC is located in Vestavia Hills at 2901 Columbiana Road, Vestavia Hills, 35216. A private family burial will take place prior to this service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Saint Mark UMC or a charity of your choice.
