Brian Jason Brown, age 36, of Evansville, IN, (formerly of Birmingham, AL) passed away Monday, February 20, 2012. Jason was born in Tuscaloosa, AL, and raised in Central-North Alabama. He graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 1993. His first job out of high school was with Huffstutler Hardware in Homewood. He also worked with Lowe’s Company both in Alabama and Indiana. Jason was currently employed as a Field Service Tech by Flanders Electric in Evansville. He was a devoted father, husband, son, and brother, as well as being a loyal friend to many. He was an avid outdoorsman and fisherman. He was an Alabama Crimson Tide Football fan. Jason is survived by his wife, Mandy Mandel Brown, daughter, Lucy Lou, son, Wyatt Lee, parents, Lehman and Pam Brown, brothers, Lee Brown (Susan) and Jeremy Nathan Brown, and grandmother, Deane Rogers. He is also survived by father and mother-in-law, Brett and Debbie Mandel, brother-in-law, Wesley Mandel, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Celebration of his life will be held Friday, February 24, 2012, at 2 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to service, with burial to follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. The Reverend T.H. (Buzz) Barrett will officiate. A memorial service will be held in Evansville, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Indiana Natural Resources Foundation or Alabama’s Forever Wild Program.
