Brian Boatman

We are sad to announce the death of Brian Boatman of Helena, Alabama, loving husband and father. Brian went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, August 3rd, 2024, from the effects of ALS.

Brian's greatest priority in life was his deep and abiding faith and relationship with Jesus Christ, closely followed by his love and dedication to his wife, Robyn, daughter, Roby, and son, Mitt. His greatest desire was to see others come to faith in Jesus Christ as their Savior.

Brian served in the Army as an officer and helicopter pilot. He spent over 20 years working in medical pharmaceutical sales to follow. Most recently, Brian was elected to the Shelby County Board of Education in 2022.

When not with his family, he enjoyed deer hunting, mountain biking, and most of all, ultra and trail racing.

Brian is survived by his wife, Robyn Roby-Boatman; daughter, Roby (Joey) Mollica; son, Mitt Boatman; mother, Elaine Cooper Boatman; and brother, Todd (Karen) Boatman. Brian was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Boatman.

The family welcomes all to join us for Brian's funeral August 10th at Hunter Street Baptist Church. Mourning and grieving with the family will start at 10am with the funeral service starting at 11am and a graveside service immediately to follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
