Brenda Tarpley

Brenda P. Tarpley, of Vestavia, was called home early in the morning of Sunday, June 17, 2018.  She was 68 years young.  She was born in Titusville, FL and was a 1968 graduate of Titusville High School.  Brenda was a member of Faith Chapel.  At the Hoover Senior Center, Brenda was an active member of the Songbirds Choir Group.  Brenda loved to sing, to decorate, and when able, garden.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Garfield Tarpley, Jr.; and her mother, Florence Chapman.  She is survived by 2 daughters, Nicole Mosley (Charles) and Jak'Lyn Tarpley-Hall (Cassandra); 3 grandchildren, Bryanna, Charles, Jr., and Tremayne Mosley; her sister, Juanita Maxwell (Ira); 2 brothers, Robert Brunson, Jr. and Charles "Omowale" Brunson (Margo); and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10-11, Friday, June 29, 2018, at Faith Chapel in Wylam.  Service will follow at 11:00, Bishop Theo Bailey officiating.
