Bracie Parsons

PARSONS, MRS. BRACIE VINES, of Birmingham, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2009 at the age of 106. She was a dedicated member of Asbury United Methodist Church and a Home Economics teacher in Albertville. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Richmond H. Parsons. She is survived by son, Jim Parsons (Bobbie Jo) of Shoal Creek; daughter, Vivian Gregory (John S.) of Leeds; five grandchildren, John S. Gregory III (Claire), Donna Gettliffe (Roland), Marilee Chapman (John), Jimbo Parsons, and Jason Parsons (Kim); and ten great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, July 19, 2009, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Rev. Greg Foust officiating. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Missions at Asbury United Methodist Church.
