Bobby Rutherford

Bobby Gene Rutherford, of Birmingham, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, January 1, 2015, at the age of 77. He was a member of Glen Iris Baptist Church in Birmingham. A devoted husband and father, he passed his work ethic on to his sons.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Mildred Rutherford; and his sister, Wanda Game.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lunell Rutherford; 2 sons, Steven Rutherford (Louisa) and their children, Grant and Mason, and Paul Rutherford (Andrea) and their children, Hollye and Heath; 2 brothers, Kyle Rutherford and Buck Rutherford; and a sister, Martha Howard (George).

The family will receive friends from 12-2 PM, Monday, January 5, 2015, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150 in Hoover. Funeral service will follow at 2 PM in the funeral home chapel, Pastor Chris Lamb officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
