Bobby Long

of Pelham, AL passed away on Feb. 21, 2016. We lost our father, grandfather, and a best friend. To know Bob E. Long was both an honor and a privilege. He was a great storyteller who made you chuckle and left you always wanting to hear another story. Humble in spirit that spoke words in action without saying a word. Just like slipping on your favorite pair of old leather shoes; he brought comfort and love into every life he touched. He left a legacy of compassion and love that we will carry on in our family that will last forever. We love you pop. He is survived by his sons, Mark Steven Long and Scott Alan Long (wife, Susan Long); Grandchildren, Ashley Long, Victoria Long, Scarlett Long, Melanie Long and Seth Long; and Sister, Thelma Palmer. The Grave Side Service will be held at the AL. Nat'l Cemetery on Thursday, Feb. 25th at 12:30PM with Chaplain, Colonel Steven E. West, USAF (Ret.) officiating.
