Blanche Cook

, of Vestavia Hills, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2009. She was born May 18, 1924 to Charlie and Callie Bradford. Mrs. Cook was co-founder of Arrow Cleaners/Cook’s Cleaners with her husband. She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. “Billy” Cook, Sr. and her son, Randy Kevin Cook, Sr. She is survived by a son, William A. Cook, Jr. (Susan); three grandchildren, William A. Cook, III (Chrissi), Randy Kevin Cook, Jr.(April), and Duane Clifton Cook; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles R. Bradford and James E. Collins; a sister, Harriett Wright and many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 from 12-2 pm at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Highway 150, Hoover. Funeral service will follow at 2 Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. The family wishes to thank the caregivers of Odyssey Hospice and Country Cottage.
