Bishop Jones

He had been a Church of God of Prophecy Minister for over 48 years where he had served on many national and international committees. Bishop Jones had been a State Overseer for the Church of God of Prophecy for the past 32 years and was a mentor and spiritual father to many. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father and "Pop" to his treasured grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Jones. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Billy Ruth Jones; a daughter, Teresa Heacox (Jason); 2 sons, Terry Jones (Janie) and Chris Jones (Kelly); 8 grandchildren, Christin Ray (Ryan), Brandon Heacox (Natasha), Ryan Heacox (Steffanie), Jordan, Alex and Brent Jones, Lauren Webber (Eddie) and Megan Jones; 8 great grandchildren; a brother, Glenn Jones (Annette); a sister, Janice Miller (Roy); and many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday, November 27, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Woodland Hills Church of God of Prophecy in Bessemer. Funeral service will be on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the church with burial in Hopewell Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery.
