Billy Lovell

Mr. Billy E. Lovell, of Birmingham, AL, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at the age of 88. He served in the US Marine Corp. from 1946-1948 and the US Army Reserves from 1961-1981. He retired from the US Postal Service after 34 years of service. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife; Bettye K. Lovell, son; Michael E. Lovell, daughters; Diane L. Perrin and Ava Dene' Lemmer, grandchildren; Jason Lovell, Alex Lovell, Nathan Lemmer, Vanessa Krohn, Brooke Kuykendall, Cortney Marks and Christie Addaway and eight great grandchildren.
A special thanks to Mozell Shelby, Vickey Allums and everyone at New Beacon Hospice.
The family will receive friends Saturday, February 20, 2016, from 1-2 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will follow in the chapel with Dewayne Spivey and Gary Bradley officiating. Interment will be Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
