Billy Ray Jordan, of Hoover, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at age 52. He was a graduate of Geneva High School and attended the University of Alabama where he played football. He retired from the City of Hoover after 27 years of service as a police officer. He loved his family, friends, colleagues with the city and will be greatly missed.
Billy is survived by his wife of 20 years, Tracy Jordan; son, Matthew Johnson; daughter, Niki Johnson; mother, Bertha Mae Jordan; nephew, Brian Jordan (Patience); great-nephew, Edward Jordan; special and close friend, Donnie Vinet; and a host of extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 25, 2017, from 12-2 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home with the service to follow in the Chapel.
Committal services will be on Sunday, February 26, 2017, at 3 PM at the Providence United Methodist Church in Chancellor, AL. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
