Beverly Vincent

Mrs. Beverly Stuart Vincent, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2011, after a short illness. Born on June 22, 1941, she grew up in Pine Apple, AL. She graduated from Howard College (Sanford University) and retired from the Shelby County School System where she taught for many years. She was a beloved member of Shalom Sunday School Class at Vestavia Hills Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Winston L. Stuart, Sr. and her brother, Winston L. Stuart, Jr. She is survived by her husband, Henry G. Vincent, of Vestavia Hills, a son, Craig Vincent, and two grandchildren, Dara and Logan Vincent, of Hoover, AL, mother, Jessie McCorquodale Stuart, a sister-in-law, Gina Stuart, nieces, Laura Ward and Elizabeth West, and four great nieces, all of Marianna, FL. The family will receive friends Friday, October 28, 2011, from 10-11 AM at Vestavia Hills Baptist Church. A celebration of Beverly's life will follow at 11:00 AM with Dr. Gary Furr officiating. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Vestavia Hills Baptist Church, 2600 Vestavia Drive, Birmingham, AL 35216.
