Bettye Huffman

of Parkwood, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2009, at the age of 64. She retired from Regions Bank after 40 years of service. Mrs. Huffman loved to work in her yard and garden. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who dearly loved her family, especially her granddaughter, Kara. She was fun-loving and her sense of humor will be missed. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Aaron Huffman; two daughters, Kim Huffman of Tampa and Kady Kilgore (Bronson) of Birmingham; a granddaughter, Kara Kilgore; a brother, Steve Williams (Lynda) of Trussville; and a nephew, Jody Williams (Amanda) of Trussville. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 20, 2009, from 5-7 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 21, 2009, at 2 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the American Heart Association.
