Betty Wiggins

WIGGINS, BETTY BOYD, of Hoover passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at the age of 80. Mrs. Wiggins was a longtime member of Shades Mountain Independent Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Jimmie L. Wiggins, Sr. She is survived by two sons, Lee Wiggins, Jr. (Renee’) and Billy Wiggins (Thea); three grandchildren, Christina Pitts (Kevin), and Will and Rush Wiggins; one great grandson, Jacob Wiggins; two sisters, Carolyn Milligan and Dorothy Nightingale; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 from 5:30-7:30 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Highway 150 in Hoover. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Alzheimer’s Association.
