Betty Thompson

of Cahaba Heights, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at the age of 90. She was a faithful member of Cahaba Heights Baptist Church for many years. She loved quilting and crafts and used her talents to serve and bless others. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by a daughter, Priscilla Mulder. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, retired postal worker, Lewis Thompson; a son, David Thompson (Pat); a daughter, Betty Wright (Wayne); 5 grandchildren, Penny Wright, Londi Roberts, Tiffany Denton, Phillippa Hitson and Buddy Little; and 8 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Arzell Hyche officiating. Entombment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
