Betty Ruth League, of Helena, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at the age of 75. Mrs. League was formerly of Midfield and originally of Bear Creek where she was a 1958 graduate of Phillips High School. In her early life, she was a proof reader for the Birmingham News, and later on a mother to three children, a grandmother to seven grandchildren, and a great-grandmother to four. In 1954, at the age of 14, Betty obeyed the gospel of Christ, becoming a Christian and striving to live the required life of a child of God. For this reason, we have hope that she will dwell eternally in the presence of our Lord and Savior.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband, James League, her sister, Gail Butler, and her parents Tab and Elva Partain. Survivors include: Sons Charles Boren and his wife, Linda of Prattville and Jamey League and his wife, Jennifer of Helena. Daughter; Leah Nicholas of Helena.
