of Hoover, passed away, Friday, July 8, 2005, at the age of 81. Born in Chattanooga, TN, she came to live in Birmingham during WWII and has resided here ever since. She worked at Black's Department Store, Hayes Aircraft and in their family business, and was a member of St. Elias Catholic Church in Southside. A loving and devoted Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother who had been raised as an orphan, Mrs. Habshey made every effort to give her family what she didn't have. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Jean Bobo and Mary Ann Cooper. She is survived by a son, Terry Habshey (Amy) of Panama City Beach, FL; two daughters, Donna Ritter of Hoover, and Brenda Hunter of Helena; nine grandchildren, Ben, Eric, Paden, Abbey and Emori Habshey, Pam Page, Brandy Stack, Clint and Timothy Hill; four great grandchildren, Brandon, Amberly, Cameron and Brody; a daughter-in-law, Carol Land of Hoover; one nephew and two nieces of North Carolina. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 12, 2005, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy. 150, Hoover. Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Father Richard Saad officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home directing.
