Betty Ellas

of Vestavia Hills, passed away from this life to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at the age of 76. She was a member of the Church of Christ and was a retired beautician. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Roy F. Ellas; a son, Dr. John W. Ellas, Director of the "Center for Church growth" and editor of "Church Growth" magazine, Houston, TX and wife Cherry; two daughters, Regina Lisa Barnes and husband Andey, of Calera and Tammy Jane Miller of Leeds; seven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 29, 2005 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, Gary M. Bradley, Jr. officiating. Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home directing.
