Betty Burnett

Mrs. Betty Spidle Burnett, of Hoover, AL, went to be with her Savior and joined her beloved husband of 70 years, Harold Elton Burnett, on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at the age of 87. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a devout Christian, who loved her church, family and all her friends. She enjoyed cooking, entertaining and following her children and grandchildren in all their sports and activities. Betty was a longtime member of Hunter Street Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son; Wayne Burnett (Suzi), daughters; Gloria Coppock (Ken) and Patti Burnett Milan, grandchildren; Traci Coppock, Brian Burnett (Katie), Shannon Horton (Cade), Kacy Kerbl (Frank), Nick Milan and Michael Milan and great grandchildren; Tyler Coppock, Jason and Campbell Burnett, Shelby, Molly and Reid Horton and Lily, Cameron, Ryan and Andrew Kerbl.
The family will receive friends Friday, December 4, 2015, from 10-11 AM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 11 AM in the chapel with Rev. Brian Hinton officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org.
