He graduated from Georgia State College and worked for Guardian Life Insurance of America for 40 years. He loved to play tennis, as he continued to play in the "Over 55 Club" until he was around 80. Loved baseball, especially watching 3 of his boys play professional baseball. But his passion switched from baseball to studying God's Word and attending Bible studies when he married Coleeta.

Funeral service: Tuesday November 7 at the Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home: 2701 John Hawkins Parkway, Hoover Al 35244.

Visitation will be from 10 am to 12pm with the service immediately following.
