a native of Birmingham died peacefully at her residence at Galleria Woods in Hoover on February 13, 2005 at the age of eighty-six. Ms. Roberts graduated from Woodlawn High School, and was a life long member of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church where she was a member of the Martha Sunday School Class. She was a former member and golfer of Green Valley Country Club, now Hoover Country Club, the Hoover Service Club and the Friends of the Hoover Public Library. She and her husband, Clarence, were long time members of the Jackal and Squires dance clubs. She is survived by 3 daughters and son-in-laws, Linda and Glenn Grimes of Arlington, TX, Penny and John Alexander of Dadeville, AL, and Debbie and Randy Cook of Hoover, AL; a son, Ronnie and Patsy Roberts of Moore, OK; 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren that she loved; her sisters, Annie Laurie Dunston of Homewood, AL, June and J.P. Sims of Tucaloosa, AL, and Earleen and Roy Seibert of Miami, FL; her sister-in-law, Mrs. (Wyatt) Dulcie Roberts of Centerpoint. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 17, 2005 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover. Funeral service will be on Friday, February 18, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Dr. Gary Fenton officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Stroke Association, Dawson Memorial Baptist Church, the Hoover Public Library or to a favorite charity.
