Barry Patton

Barry Glen Patton, of Vestavia, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at age 59. He was a graduate of Jones Valley High School in 1976 and he graduated with an MBA from Jacksonville State University in 1982. Over the years, Barry held many positions in the banking and finance industry. He has been with Regions Bank for the last 22 years and his latest position was Vice President of Credit Review. Barry was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church and a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity at Jacksonville State. He is preceded in death by his father, R.L. Patton.

Barry is survived by his wife of 16 years, Carol Patton; two daughters, Leslie Williams (Chris) and Ashlie King (Ricky); four grandchildren, Taylor and Hanna Williams, and Jacob and Alex King; his mother, Betty Patton; one sister, Cindy Gunter; two nephews; and one niece.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 14, 2017, from 5-8 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home in Hoover, AL.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Jacksonville State University Scholarship Fund, Business and Finance Department.
