Barry Graves

of Pelham, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2009, at the age of 54. He was a graduate of Samford University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He was an active member of Shades Mountain Baptist Church for the past 15 years. Mr. Graves was employed by Victory Pontiac-GMC in Calera. He was preceded in death by a son, David Graves. He is survived by his wife of 28 years Lisa Graves; two sons, John and Chad Graves of Pelham; a sister, Debbie Hill (Mike) of Vestavia; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Glynn and Pat Gardner of Monroe, LA; as well as numerous relative and friends The family will receive friends on Friday, March 27, 2009, from 1-3 PM at Shades Mountain Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 3 PM at the church, with Dr. Danny Wood officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Special Needs ministry at Shades Mountain Baptist Church.
