Barney Brasher

Barney Ray Brasher, 89, of Pelham, AL went home to be with his Lord and Savior September 16, 2023 at Brookwood Select Specialty Hospital in Birmingham, AL.

He was born April 5, 1934 in Shelby County, Alabama son of Burley Brasher and Garey Brasher.

Barney was a machinist. He was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather. Barney was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

Surviving are his, Daughter, Anita Brasher; Grandsons, Christopher Carter Jr. (Stephanie), Conner Gammon, and Colin Gammon; Sister, Ressie Hawkins; Nephews, David Jones, and Abe Jones.

He was preceded in death by his Loving Wife of 42 years, Wanda L. Brasher; Parents, Burley and Garey Brasher; Brother, Columbus Brasher; Sisters, Adele Ford, and Billie Carpenter.

The family will receive friends from 11am to 12pm at Currie Jefferson Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 12pm. Interment will follow at Pelham City Cemetery.
