BARBARA ORSO WILSON, age 90, of Hoover died January 18, 2024. Funeral services will be held Wednesday January 24, 2024 10:00 am at Bluff Park United Methodist Church. Reverend Reid Crotty will be officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday January 24, 2024 at 9:00 am in the sanctuary at Bluff Park United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her husband Roland Bernard Wilson, and parents Jimmie Smithson Orso and Nick Orso of Bessemer. She is survived by her two children: daughter Rolanda and husband Jim Waddell of Hoover, and her son Wade and wife Michele Wilson of Atlanta. She is also survived by grandchildren Nicholas (Kaley) Wilson, Mackenzie (Josh) James, Shelby Waddell, Derrick Beining, and Amanda (Kevin) Keelen, six great grandchildren, sister Mrs. Christine Donaldson, and brothers Mr. Nick Orso and Dr. Ron (Diane) Orso.

Mrs. Wilson was a long-time member of Bluff Park United Methodist Church. She graduated from Bessemer High School, attended Bessemer College in Birmingham, and worked at U.S. Steel for several years.

Interment will be in the Alabama National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Pastor's Discretionary Fund at Bluff Park United Methodist Church.
