Barbara Thomas

of Hoover, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2009, at the age of 77. She was a member of the Hoover First United Methodist Church. She is survived by two sons, Michael P. Thomas (Retha) and Tommy Thomas (Connie); three grandchildren, Bradley and Allison Thomas and Steven Johnson; a great-granddaughter, Averie Keesey; a brother, William Paul Starnes, Jr.; and a sister, Joy Mackey. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 23, 2009, from 1-2 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM in the in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
