Aubrey Hamilton

Mr. Aubrey Homer Hamilton, age 78 of Hoover, Alabama, formerly of Northport, passed away Thursday, May 12. He was born in Fayette County in 1932 and served in the U.S. Army in Korea. He is survived by son David Aubrey Hamilton (Shirley) of Hoover, daughter Mary Ann Hamilton of Dothan; grandchildren Christopher Hamilton of Colorado, Melanie Smith (Paul) of Leeds, Jonathan Hamilton of Idaho, Elizabeth Hamilton of Gordo, Andrew Hamilton of Gordo, and Erica Donalson of Dothan; great-grandchildren Samuel Smith of Leeds, and Chloe and Gabriel Donalson of Dothan. He was predeceased by sons Charles Edwin Hamilton of Dothan and Philip Andrew Hamilton of Gordo and parents Jerry and Mildred Hamilton of Tuscaloosa. A private memorial will be held at a later date. Thanks to the staff of SouthHaven Nursing Home in Hoover for their care over the past several years. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association in Aubrey's name.
