Arley Fetters

of Bluff Park, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2006, at the age of 98. He was a retired construction supervisor and, after retiring, he always aided the residents of the community when a hammer and nail were needed. Mr. Fetters was a member of the Carpenters Union in Birmingham for over 50 years and was a member of the Bluff Park Civitan Club. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Emma Fetters. He is survived by his daughter, Carolyn Howton; grandchildren, Mark and Cindy Howton, Amy and Jeff Stewart and Audra and Heath Vaughn; great grandchildren, Grayson and Cole Stewart; a brother, Ira Crotts, of Greensburg, KS; several nieces and nephews and other relatives. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 14, 2006, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 15, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home directing.
