Annie Blackwell

, of Pelham, passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2008 at the age of 100. She was born in Madison County Alabama but spent most of her life in or around the Birmingham area. Ms. Blackwell was a member of First Baptist Church of Pelham. She was a charter member of Loveless Park Baptist Church, which originated in the family home. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jesse A. Blackwell. She is survived by her son, Fred A. Blackwell (Helen); a sister, Mary Johnson; two grandchildren, Bruce A. Blackwell (Barbara) and Karen B. Moody; four great-grandchildren, Brett Moody, Ashley Moody, Jesse A. Blackwell, and Michelle Blackwell; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 from 10-12 at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Highway 150, Hoover. Graveside service will follow. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
