Anne Spruce

of Hoover, passed away at home on Sunday, May 17, 2009, at the age of 79. She was a member of Oakmont Presbyterian Church and Lakeview Residential Association. She was raised in Roanoke, VA and graduated from Madison College. Mrs. Spruce was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was looking forward to becoming a great-grandmother to Hadley Anne Lamon. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Peachy Spruce of Hoover; two daughters, Martha Spruce Lamon (Robert) of Mobile and Ginny Spruce of Vestavia; two grandchildren, R. Brent Lamon (Kacey) of Hoover and C. Cooper Lamon of Auburn; two brothers, Elbert Norred Trinkle, Jr. of Roanoke, VA and William Aubrey Trinkle (Jane) of Marietta, GA. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 20, 2009, from 12-1 PM at Oakmont Presbyterian Church. A memorial service will follow at 1 PM, with Rev. Richard Brooks officiating.Entombment will be in Everlasting Life Mausoleum in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South, Hoover, AL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Light Shelter for Women and Children, Presbyterian Children's Home in Talladega or American Cancer Society. The family would like to give a special thanks to Amedisys Home Health Care and Hospice.
