Anna Ulman

of Hoover, formerly of Hamtramck, MI, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2007, at the age of 84. She was very involved in her local parish and was very loving and gentle and a joy to be around. Mrs. Ulman loved music, singing and handcrafts and loved to travel. She is survived by three sons, Rev. Stanley Ulman of Detroit, MI, Alfred Ulman, Jr. (Lori) of Maui, HI and Joseph Ulman of Detroit, MI; a daughter, Carol Mahinske (Ron) of Hoover; a grandson, Michael Mahinske; a sister, Sophie Basak; a sister-in-law, Jadwiga Pikula (Ludwig); many nieces and nephews; and grand nieces and grand nephews.. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 9, 2007 from 5:30 until 7:30 PM at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Detroit, MI. The family wishes to express a special thanks to the Amedisys Hospice caregivers, Lauren, Jill and Patricia, and personal caregivers, Angela Baity and Keisha Quinn. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.
