Alice Shoemaker

Linda Shoemaker of Birmingham passed away on Friday, April 10, 2015, at Trinity Hospital. Linda was born in Selma, Alabama on April 25, 1944, the daughter of Willie Harrell and Coyette Ragland Weeden. She was a graduate of Selma High School and attended Montevallo University.

She is survived by her son, Jason Shoemaker and daughter, Susan Shoemaker (Andy Sizemore), both of Birmingham; and her sisters Bettie Jean Tucker Golden of Montgomery and Fredna Tucker Merritt of Treasure Island FL; her husband, Roger Shoemaker, as well as several nieces and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by her mother and father and her sister Melba Tucker Cummings.

The family will receive friends from 10-11, Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150 in Hoover. Funeral will follow at 11 AM in the chapel. Interment will be at Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham, AL. The family requests no flowers. Memorial contributions to an appropriate charity will be appreciated.
