Alice Crawford

age 86, passed away at a local hospital on Monday, March 10, 2008, after an extended illness. Mrs. Crawford was born on May 19, 1921 in Birmingham, AL and was a life-long resident thereafter. She was a member of the North Park Baptist Church. She was a warm loving wife, mother and sister who will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar C. and Margaret N. Cost; a sister, Willodean C. Freeman; and two brothers, William Paul Cost and Edgar C. Cost, Jr. She is survived by her faithful and loving husband of 62 years, Raymond M. Crawford; a daughter, Catherine C. Walls of Montevallo; a sister, Mrs. Lurla C. Harris of Huntsville; and two brothers, Ted M. and Larry M. Cost of Birmingham. She was deeply loved and will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 12, 2008, from 12-2 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover. A graveside service will follow at 2 PM in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South, with Rev. William Wilkes officiating. The family would like to thank Mrs. Crawford's physicians and the caregivers at Grace Health Care who took such loving care of her during her illness.
