Alice Bain

Mrs. Alice Demedicis Bain, age 90, went to Heaven Easter Sunday, April 24, 2011. She was a devoted, loving wife for over 60 years to her husband Samuel R. Bain who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Eula DeMedicis and four brothers and two sisters. She is survived by two sisters, Lois Axtell of Dothan and Christine Oliver of Sylacauga; numerous neices, nephews and a host of friends. She was a long time member of Faith Presbyterian Church. She loved her church and her church friends very much. She kept books for several companies in Birmingham for many years. After retiring, she started baby sitting for many families in North Shelby County. She loved all children. The family would like to thank Lakeview for the wonderful care they gave her. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at 11 am in the Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 11 on Tuesday. Dr. J. Allen Carter officiating. The family request memorials be made to the Faith Presbyterian Church, located on Valleydale Road or the Susan B. Komen Foundation.
