of Hoover, AL went home to be with his heavenly father on Monday, January 29, 2007, after battling a neuromuscular illness for several months. The Lord took him to heaven at the age of 67. He was the son of the late Courtney Stuart Tucker and Marguerite Grace Tucker of Stevens Point, WI. Mr. Tucker was a graduate of P. J. Jacobs High School in Stevens Point and of the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point. First and foremost, he was a man of God, manifested not only in his faithful attendance at Dominion Baptist Church and Reformed Family Felowship, but even more so in the kindness he demonstrated to others. Next, he was a gentle and loving husband and father for whom his family was priority number one. Finally, a patriot who believed in the type of government our founding fathers gave us, he involved himself in various civic organizations, such as The John Birch Society, The Alliance for Citizens' Rights, and The Committee for Lower Taxes Through Less Government. He is survived, loved dearly and missed much by his wife, Peggy Tucker; two daughters, Sharon Duckworth (Brian) and Sheryl Tucker. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 1, 2007, from 6 until 8 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. Funeral services wil be held on Friday, February 2, 2007, at 2 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastors Mark Liddle and James Graveling officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home directing.
